The Thornville Parks and Recreation Department maintains four parks and one swimming pool.  Additional maintenance of the parks are provided by countless volunteers who use the park throughout the season.  The park is currently the home for the Thornville Youth Recreation Association baseball and softball leagues during the spring and summer season.  Toward the end of summer and into the fall, the Thornville Youth Soccer Organization uses the baseball field areas.
